I just don’t get it. What lurks within the heart of a government official who would take away the pension of a civil servant who gave more than 20 years of his life to the government?
It makes no sense to me. Simply cold and heartless is about all I can make of Attorney General Jeff Sessions move to fire Andrew McCabe two days before his full pension vests.
A little flirt here, a little flirt there plus a couple of decades equals sexual battery. At least this is what the recent rash of “Me Too” moments from back in the day seem to add up to for those who dare to brave the backlash and do the arithmetic.
Actress Angela Lansbury at 92 years of age said as much in a radio interview which was broadcasted in November. According to USA Today, Lansbury addressing the “Me Too” movement opined: “There is two sides to this coin. We have to own up to the fact that women, since time immemorial, have gone out of their way to make themselves attractive. And unfortunately it has backfired on us — and this is where we are today.”
Donald has played the trump card again. This time in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District. He is on a roll. This was the seventh time the Trump card has been played and each time the Trump card has proven to be a winner for the Republicans.
The Donald first played the trump card last summer during the GOP primaries. He won their nomination for president.
HBCUs are in trouble. On the last day of the recently concluded campaign to select the nation’s 45th President, Barack Obama, President No. 44, took to the airwaves to exhort African Americans to get out and vote for Hillary Clinton.
He appeared on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. Joyner, a graduate of Tuskegee University, hosts annual scholarship drives. He donates the proceeds to HBCUs. The President jokingly told Black voters that if Donald Trump was elected President he was “coming after Michelle’s garden.” He followed this joke with what seemed like another joke. He said that Trump needed to be defeated because the Historically Black Colleges and Universities would be in trouble if Trump was elected.
I don’t trust the polls. As much as I would like to, I don’t trust the polls. I am finding it hard to believe what the data is saying. I simply don’t trust the polls.
One of the reasons I am having a hard time believing this data is because so many journalists, 96 percent of them, made campaign contributions to one candidate, Hillary Clinton, out of the four potential winners.
What if Hillary Rodham Clinton really is sick? What then? Is there a plan B?
Normally, a person diagnosed with pneumonia is still feeling the weaken effects of the disease six days after the diagnosis. Yet six days after she was diagnosed and four days after she stumbled during the 9-1-1 Observance on Sunday in New York City, Clinton was back on the campaign trail. She had a full day of activities Thursday, September 15, 2016.
What do Black people really have to lose?
This may very well go down in history as the most profound question of the 2016 presidential election cycle, at least as relates to the nation’s darker citizens.
This seemingly simple question has stirred the anger of yet another non-white group, primarily the Black professional class. Black professionals have taken Republican nominee Donald Trump to task for asking the African American community for an opportunity to prove that he could solve many of the economic and crime problems that plague their community.
During election season, a political slogan is frequently heard:”Tax cuts for the wealthy!”It usually is met with disdain, as one opponent accuses the other of favoring tax breaks for the rich.
This political season, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, has a tax plan that changes that refrain to “tax cuts for the workers!”
Donald J. Trump did not receive a convention bounce; nada, zilch, nothing!
Usually, a presidential candidate can expect to receive a bounce in the polls coming out of their national nominating convention. But there was nary a blip for Trump following the conclusion of his first Republican Convention.
Any bounce Trump may have received would have been short lived as the Democratic National Committee’s nominating convention will gear up in a few days. Trump should be happy without any bounce. After all his convention got off to a rocky start when his wife Melania misstepped on opening night. She delivered several lines, nearly verbatim, from Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention speech at the Democratic National Committee convention.
Donald Trump made a pitch to the white underclass to come out in large numbers in November to elect him President of the United States of America. During his acceptance speech at the National Republican Convention, Trump spoke directly to the white underclass in American society. He told them that he was their “voice.”
