TUSKEGEE, ALABAMA, CASCADE PRESS (CP) Sources close to the Tuskegee Board of Trustees have reported to the CP that the Board of Trustees at prestigious Tuskegee University removed Charles “Chuck” Williams as chairman of the Board. Farrakhan Plans March on CDC

Minister Louis Farrakhan, spiritual leader of the Nation of Islam,  during the 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March dubbed “Justice or Else,” announced plans to demonstrate in front of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia on October 24.

March organizers are seeking a 25,000 person march comprised of people from states surrounding Georgia. The March on the CDC is to bring attention to allegations that the CDC participated in the development of a vaccine that allegedly is designed to “destroy black male children.” read more

MMM Reveals Malcolm’s Discontent

Saturday’s “Justice or Else” March to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March (MMM), reveals the substance of the discontent Malcolm X had with the Nation of Islam, which led to his November 1963 suspension from the Muslim sect.

Shortly after the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Malcolm X quipped that, Kennedy’s assassination was a case “of chickens coming home to roost.” He followed that statement by saying, “As an old farm boy, chickens coming home to roost never made me sad, they always made me glad.” read more

Farrakhan Seeks Malcolm X File

During last weekend’s 20th anniversary of the Million Man March, Nation of Islam leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan called upon the FBI to open their file on Malcolm X. He seeks the full release of the FBI’s Malcolm X file.

Farrakhan’s demand sought to put to rest public rumors that he participated in planning the assassination of Malcolm X following Malcolm’s break with the Nation of Islam back in 1965. Malcolm was killed on February 21, 1965, in a hail of gunfire, as he prepared to outline his plans for the Organization of Afro-American Unity, a secular organization that would address human rights violations committed by the American government upon it’s black citizens. read more

Democrats Take Center Stage

Finally, Democrats are poised to take center stage in their quest to hold onto the oval office for another four year term. By law, President Obama is prohibited from seeking a third term. On Tuesday, the Democrats will host their first of four debates in the 2016 presidential campaign season. It will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. CNN will provide a two hour coverage of this debate. Trump Courting Black Preachers

Donald Trump, a billionaire real estate mogul, is courting black preachers in his quest to become the 45th  president of the United States of America. Trump is the leading contender out of a field of sixteen men and women for the Republican Party nomination. He has been atop the Republican leader board since tossing his hat into the ring for the GOP nomination. Should Trump receive his party’s nomination, he will in all likelihood need a significant block of black voters to push him over the top. Black voters have not played a significant role in electing a Republican president since the Dwight David Eisenhower campaigns in 1952 and 1956. The last time the black vote was a solid Republican vote was in the failed campaign of Vice President Richard Milhous Nixon against Senator John Fitzgerald Kennedy in 1960. Kennedy received just enough of the black vote to etch out a close election victory. read more
