I don’t trust the polls. As much as I would like to, I don’t trust the polls. I am finding it hard to believe what the data is saying. I simply don’t trust the polls.
One of the reasons I am having a hard time believing this data is because so many journalists, 96 percent of them, made campaign contributions to one candidate, Hillary Clinton, out of the four potential winners.
Atlanta, Georgia, Cascade Press has never endorsed a candidate for political office. In spite of this fact, in this digital space,we have not been shy in expressing our views on all things political . This is an unusual election year. We feel the need to endorse a candidate.
Although, Cascade Press will enter the game of endorsing candidates, we will not endorse a candidate for president. We will leave it to the intelligence of the electorate to make a smart selection between the four candidates that are on enough ballots that they could potentially win 270 electoral votes to become the 45th President of the United States of America.
Tuskegee Institute, Alabama Tuskegee University under the leadership of first year Head Baseball Coach Reggie Hollins hosted its first Tuskegee University Alumni Baseball Classic, October 21, 2016, during the homecoming festivities at the historic university in East Alabama.
Hollins, a 2010 graduate of Tuskegee University, where he starred as a middle infielder for the Golden Tigers, took over the helm of the Tuskegee program this summer from Montressa Kirby, who had been doubling as the quarterback coach on the highly rated Tuskegee football team since 2009.
Atlanta, Georgia, Cascade Press, Saturday, October 8, 2016, John Page, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Tuskegee University spoke with the Concerned Tuskegee Alumni in Atlanta, Georgia. He asked the group to quiet its dissenting voice regarding issues confronting the university.
Page’s message to the Concerned Tuskegee Alumni (CTA) was very similar to the “House Divided” lecture he gave to board members last weekend during the board’s annual fall meeting. His speech to the board was largely successful as members who had been willing to take a vote of no confidence on the job performance of the university president decided to get in line behind Page.
I stayed up all night to make sure I did not miss the October Surprise. I am not sure if it was a smart thing to do. Nevertheless, here I am up to see if Julian Assange pull a rabbit out of a hat. Many conservatives think if Assange does, it will be the end of the Hillary Clinton campaign.
I am not sure if this is a logical inference that can be drawn given the fact conspiracy theorists think that the Clintons can fix any election and remove any irritant out of their way.
Tuskegee Institute, Alabama, Cascade Press, This weekend, the Tuskegee Board of Trustees declined to take a vote on firing President Brian Johnson. The board met on the historic campus of Tuskegee University for their annual fall meeting, September 29 through October 1.
A contingent of “concerned alumni” from Atlanta, Georgia and Tuskegee, Alabama held out hope that they could convince the Tuskegee Trustees that dismissing Johnson was in the best interest of the university. This group began each day of the board meeting at the gravesite of Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver. They prayed for guidance and the right words to speak in their conversations with board members.
