After Day of Ridicule Donald Nominated

After a day of social media ridicule real estate Mogul Donald J. Trump has done the improbable. Donald Trump is the 2016 Republican nominee for President. Social media was abuzz over what appears to be the best job of plagiarism, by Melania Trump, this side of a high school term paper.

Nothing and I mean nothing has been able to unlodge him from atop the GOP tent. No insult, no distortion of the truth, no flat out lie, not even theft of intellectual property by his wife, Melania Trump, has tarnished his appeal to primarily white Americans who are fed up with the Obama narrative of “One America.” read more

Boyce Watkins Defends Mentee Gavin long

Boyce Watkins, PhD. in finance and Director of the Black Wealth Boot Camp, took to YouTube to defend his mentorship of Gavin Long. On Sunday, July 17, 2016, Long is alleged to have ambushed several Baton Rouge Police Officers, killing three and seriously injuring another one.

Initial news reports indicated that  Gavin Long was a follower of several Black Nationalists groups. The logical conclusion of this report was that  Gavin Long was radicalized by Black Nationalists, which led to the assassination of Baton Rouge Police Officers. read more

Watch Out For The Black Backlash

Black people in America should be on the watch for a Black backlash that could come as a reaction to the wave of police killings in Dallas, Texas and in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The backlash will not necessarily come from white police officers. Although, it can not be counted out that the men in blue will not react to the ambush of police officers by becoming very repressive in their policing. read more

Black Power Then Black Lives Matter Now!

In 1966, “Black Power” was the battle cry of young Blacks in America who were fed up with second class status in relation to other Americans, especially, white Americans. The phrase Black Power was as misunderstood as “Black Lives Matter,” its counterpart in 21st century America, is misunderstood today. read more

Micah Johnson Manchurian Candidate?

Was Micah Johnson a” Manchurian Candidate?” This is not a rhetorical question, or a trick question. It is a question that I pose which I do not have an answer. Was Micah Johnson brainwashed not by enemy forces as was the case in the Manchurian Candidate, (1962 movie starring Frank Sinatra, where a group of U. S. soldiers were captured by the Koreans, brainwashed, then returned to the United States as plants to take control of the government by Martial Law. An updated version of this movie stars Black actor Denzel Washington), but brainwashed by his own government? And if brainwashed by his own government, then for what purpose? read more

Live Free or Die Trying!

Brothers and Sisters, I hate to wake you up from Martin’s dream, but it is time to live free or die trying. Like every man of color living in America since 1619, I have been taught rules of survival by my elders and I have passed on those lessons of survival to my progeny. No doubt if something does not change and change in a hurry my progeny will pass on those lessons to his offspring. read more

Trump Too Reckless Clinton Too Careless

Donald J. Trump is too reckless and Hillary Clinton is too careless. What is the American voter to do in November?

Now that the Inspector General, the FBI and the Justice Department have completed their exhaustive investigations into Hillary Clinton’s usage of a private email server and other electronic devices the field is finally set for the 2016 Presidential race. read more

Hillary Clinton Not Out Of The Woods Yet

Hillary Clinton is not out of the woods yet. Although the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) concluded its investigation into her use of a private email server without recommending criminal charges, the issue is not settled.

There remains a review of the FBI’s investigative file by attorneys in the Justice Department. As I reported in a blog post yesterday, former United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, Sally Q. Yates, finds herself “in the middle of Emailgate.” Yates, essentially is a career, apolitical, nuts and bolts federal prosecutor. read more

The Day A Fan Thought I was Willie Mays

Willie Mays, I am not. I had almost forgotten the day a baseball fan thought I was Willie Mays. I like to think that I was a good baseball player when I was in my prime, but no way as proficient with the bat, the glove or as fleet on the basepath as the “Say Hey Kid.”

What prompted this reflection is the news that the Atlanta Braves, formerly my hometown team, and the Florida Marlins played a game, the day before the 240th birthday of the United States of America. The game was played before 12,500 soldiers and their families on a ball field constructed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina just for this one game. read more
