Minister Louis Farrakhan, Messenger of the Nation of Islam, is confronting the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia over its approval of vaccines that some say are harmful to children in general and black children in particular.

Libertarian Americans have long sort to hold the CDC responsible for the increase of Autism in children who have been vaccinated with the CDC approved Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine (MMR).

This weekend in Atlanta these Americans got an assist from members of Farrakhan’s Black Muslim sect. Two weeks ago, Farrakhan called for 25,000 people to show up in Atlanta to demand that Congress subpoena William Thompson, a CDC whistle blower, who revealed that a lengthy report detailing the harmful effect the MMR vaccine has on children was destroyed by the CDC. Over several hundred Muslims turned out for Friday’s demonstration.

Farrakhan is not expected in Atlanta this week, but he did send his representative in the person of Minister Tony Muhammad, who exclaimed that “Black people have no idea that this [harmful effects of the MMR vaccine] is taking place.”

Standing in front of the CDC on Friday morning just after sunrise, Minister Tony Muhammad preached, “We want to make sure that William Thompson is subpoenaed and brought before congress.”

Thompson is willing to testify, but so far congress has not seen fit to bring him in and get his testimony into the congressional record.

Minister Tony Muhammad was asked by a California Reporter if he thought that the California law which mandates parents have to vaccinate their children, even if the parents have religious or health concerns about a vaccine, should be halted until congress investigates various vaccines, the Minister replied, “Congress would have to stop a lot of these vaccines until an independent investigation has been done as to the content that is in these vaccines that causes all of these atrocities. .. because so many are being injured.”

Minister Tony Muhammad advised that following this week’s demonstration, his group will embark on a 40 city tour to bring awareness to the vaccination issue in the black community.
