Harold Michael Harvey, an esteemed author and lecturer, will provide political commentary on the 2016 presidential election for the Tracy Larkin Broadcast Network. As a prominent figure associated with Cascade Publishing House, Harold Michael Harvey is an American award-winning journalist, former lawyer, political pundit, novelist, essayist, and publisher. He earned his degree in political science from Tuskegee Institute and a Juris Doctorate from Atlanta Law School. In 1976, Harvey was recognized for his “Outstanding Work in Newspaper Journalism” by the National Newspaper Publishers Association. His dedication to civil rights advocacy was further acknowledged in 1996 when the Gate City Bar Association awarded him the prestigious R. E. Thomas Civil Rights Award for representing over 180 college students arrested in Atlanta during the Black college spring break event known as “Freaknic.” Harvey’s career encompasses law, journalism, and a steadfast commitment to the principles of justice, equality, and civic engagement.

Harold Michael Harvey is the author of the critically acclaimed legal thriller Paper Puzzle, which was originally published in 2009 and republished in 2011 following the establishment of Cascade Publishing House. This small publishing house was created to publish not only his works but also those of other authors who prefer a more intimate publishing environment. On April 4, 2015, Cascade Publishing House released its second book, a collection of Harvey’s insightful essays titled Justice in the Round: Essays on the American Jury System. In 2016, Cascade Publishing House obtained the rights to publish Easier to Obtain Than to Maintain: The Globalization of the Civil Rights Movement by Charles Steele, Jr., who is the president and CEO of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Harvey also contributed to Allvoices.com by covering the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, earning recognition with two semi-monthly American Pundit Awards in February 2012 and April 2013. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Cynthia, who has been a senior editor for 39 years, and their son Coley, a sports reporter for a national broadcast company. When he can manage to convince Cynthia that he needs some quiet time, Harold Michael Harvey enjoys writing in the serene Great Smoky Mountains, furthering his passion for civil rights advocacy.
