City of Atlanta Under Ransomware Attack
March 22, 2018Atlanta, Georgia Mayor Keisha Lance Bottom announced today that the city’s computer system has suffered a ransomware attack. The city has called in the FBI, Homeland Security and the Secret Service to address the problem.
Citizens started noticing that something was wrong with the computer system when they attempted to pay their utilities today.The primary target of the ransomware attack appears to be the city utilities department and the court system.
