Freaknik Lawyer Is Film Worthy

From the pen of Tidewater filmmaker, Walt Green we received these words in a review of Freaknik Lawyer.

Sir, your book Freaknik Lawyer is excellent. It had me captured as that “Malcolm X” book captured you as a teen. I thoroughly enjoyed it and your background, explained in detail with stories of your mom and grandmom, leading up to Freaknik was a history lesson.

I’m still thinking about that part in the book when you went to Lanier and some of the blacks regarded you as being “too good” for the Black schools. Also, I could not believe one of your peers in 2018 still harbors that against you and remarked: “So now you’re so black,” unbelievable, but a necessary part of your story.

Freaknik Lawyer should be on the New York Times Bestseller list, and not to mention, it is worthy of a Spike Lee film.

I am new to the film industry, but I am willing to help with a film in any way I can because as the book is excellent, the film can be too.
