They done made America white again. Yep. He did it. Donald J. Trump just made America white again. It really does not come as a surprise to anyone that Donald J. Trump would surround himself with lily white faces.

But to see the smackdown live and in living achromic color shocks the senses into the comprehension of the reality show that will run the next four years. America, after all is said and done is a majority white country.

Her constitution only portends  to offer protection to black, brown, yellow and red representatives of humankind. Those rights, although enshrined in the constitution have to be fought for to have them applied to non white Americans and they have to be fought for to keep them from being taken away once certains rights have been gained.

This has always been the way of the American dream for non white Americans. It has always been a struggle to receive the benefits of their Americanism. So why does the ascension of Donald J. Trump to the presidency have such haunting overtones?

Why have so many Americans thrown down the gauntlet, drawn a line in the sand and put their bodies in the interstate highways to protest Trump’s presidency?

Why so much consternation over the election of an American president?

What is different about this one?

Perhaps, the answers can be found in his campaign rhetoric. Trump did not pull any punches as he campaigned for the office of President. He began his quest to make America white again with an all out assault on women, by ridiculing a natural biological function  of the female anatomy.

Although, his campaign manager is a woman, thus far,  all of the names of cabinet appointees have been men. When America was great, Trump seems to suggests, it was run by white men; and women, especially white women, knew their place.

Then he took on Mexicans and Muslims. He pledged to send Mexicans, who came to the USA illegally, back to Mexico; even if it meant that their American born offspring would be forced out of their country as well.

With the assault on Muslims, Trump has proposed a national registry that would require all Muslims in the country to register. He cites as precedent the horrible internment of Japanese Americans  during World War II. Most historians and many Americans generally concede that placing Japanese Americans in concentration camps was a very bad idea.

The closest Black person to Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, recently took his name out of consideration for a cabinet post. In spite of the fact Carson ran for president, he contends he is unqualified to run a government agency. This in all likelyhood is a correct statement of his abilities in government. But surely Carson, an expert heart surgeon, could serve the nation well as its Surgeon General.

Where then will Trump find a black face for his administration?

It’s anybody’s guess.

From the looks of things, Trump done make America white again; and the whiter Trump’s America becomes, the greater the chances of abuse being leveled upon non white Americans and women of all racial hues.
